Scott Levine has joined US media company Time Warner’s corporate venturing unit as a managing director.
Levine was previously a senior vice-president for business development at social network MyYearbook.com. Before that he worked as a senior vice-president for corporate development at Sony Music, and had previously been a vice-president at US-based private equity firm General Atlantic.
Levine said Time Warner was focused on investments related to mobile, cross-platform distribution of content, online gaming, and advertising technology. It looks to make investments which are both strategic for Time Warner’s companies, including publisher Time, movie studio Warner Brothers and television network HBO, as well as providing an attractive financial return, he added.
