Accelerator Corporation, a Seattle-based start-up investor backed by pharmaceutical company Amgen’s corporate venturing unit and other corporates, is reportedly looking to expand in the US and Globally.
The company is planning to build into a network of four or five labs including New York, news provider Xconomy said.
Accelerator’s affiliates include venture firm Arch Venture Partners, OVP Venture Partners, WRF Capital, as well as housing company Alexandria Real Estate Equities and research organisation the Institute for Systems Biology.
Accelerator was started in 2003 and has invested about $45m in 12 early stage companies, Xconomy said.
