US and Israel-based cybersecurity technology developer Secdo closed a $10m series A round yesterday that was co-led by corporate venturing firm RDC and Marius Nacht.
RDC, a joint venture between weapons technology provider Rafael Advanced Defence Systems and technology holding company Elron Electronic Industries, aims to commercialise civilian technologies using defence technologies developed by Rafael.
Angel investors Ariel Maislos, Ehud Weinstein and Ofir Shalvi also contributed to the series A round. They, along with Nacht, previously injected $3m in seed capital.
Founded in 2014, Secdo is the developer of an incident response platform that aims to speed up the time taken to react to cyber threats. The platform collects data and automates forensic analysis, sneding full analyses of each security alert to managed security service providers.
Secdo will use the funds to boost US sales operations, expand customer support and support research and development.
Zohar Rosenberg, vice-president of cyber investments at Elron, said: “While existing solutions are still focused on managing playbooks and processes, Secdo is the only platform that automates deep forensic collection, investigation and remediation that replicates military-grade incident response.
“With Secdo, security teams are finally able to handle all incoming alerts in a fraction of the time.”
