Secureframe, a US-based developer of compliance automation technology, received $18m yesterday in a series A round featuring internet technology provider Google’s artificial intelligence fund, Gradient Ventures.
Venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins led the round, which included Base10 Partners, BoxGroup, Village Global, Soma Capital, Origin Capital, Backend Capital and a range of angel investors.
Founded in January 2020, Secureframe has developed software that helps businesses comply with SOC 2 data management and ISO 27001 information security audits. The funding will support the addition of more certifications over the course of this year.
Gradient Ventures and Base10 Partners led the startup’s $4.5m seed round in October, investing with BoxGroup, Village Global, Soma Capital, Liquid2 Ventures, Chapter One Ventures, Worklife Ventures, Backend Capital and unnamed individuals.
