Sequent, a US-based provider of digital wallet software backed by telecoms company SK Telecom, has raised an undisclosed amount for its series C round.
Investors in the latest round have not been named.
Founded in 2010, Sequent provides a digital wallet platform that enables financial services providers, shops and mobile phone operators to accept secure mobile payments. The platform carries the branding of Sequent’s relevant client.
The series C funding will support the expansion into more markets.
In 2013, SBT Venture Capital, the investment vehicle of financial services provider Sberbank, led a $12m series B round. Opus Capital and Jado Investments also contributed to that round.
In 2011, Opus co-led a series A round with SK Telecom Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of SK Telecom. The amount remains undisclosed.
