Web development platform operator Wix has acquired Moment.me, a US-based provider of mobile website building and social lead generation services, for $10m, TechCrunch has reported, citing undisclosed sources.
The acquisition provided exits to investors including SingTel Innov8, the corporate venturing unit of telecommunications company SingTel, as well as venture capital firm Blumberg Ventures.
Both firms backed a $1.5m seed round for Moment.me in 2012 and a subsequent $1.65m round in June 2014.
Moment.me was founded in Israel as an online picture album app before pivoting to a service focusing on building mobile microsites for events. It will shut down those services at the end of this month to concentrate on its lead generation service.
