Site 1001 takes in another $6m

US-based building maintenance software startup Site 1001 has secured $6m in series A1 funding from investors including JE Dunn, the construction firm that spun it out in August 2016.

JE Dunn was joined by local business services provider Tifec, Flyover Capital, Ward Ventures and KC Rise, the first four having supplied the $5m that Site 1001 raised for its series A round in September 2016. JE Dunn led that round.

Site 1001’s core product is a mobile facilities management platform that uses building information to help building owners and managers run their services more effectively. It is now using machine learning to move into proactively maintaining different parts of a building.

Cleve Adams, chief executive of Site 1001, said: “As recently as 2014, this industry pretty much worked the same way it has for 25 years or more.

But with the recent flood of low cost connected building systems and sensors, mobile hardware and apps and powerful data analysis tools, the whole industry is being transformed and Site 1001 is right in the middle of it.”
