SmartRecruiters, the US-based recruitment platform developer backed by enterprise software provider Salesforce.com, secured $30m on Thursday in a series C round led by venture capital and private equity firm Insight Venture Partners.
The round, which also featured VC firm Mayfield, increased the company’s overall funding to approximately $55m.
Founded in 2010, SmartRecruiters has built a talent acquisition platform that can be integrated with enterprises’ existing systems and customised to fit their individual needs. The funding will be used to accelerate growth and further develop the company’s product.
SmartRecruiters raised $5.5m in 2012, according to a regulatory filing, before closing a $19.5m series B round in June 2015 that included Mayfield, Rembrandt Venture Partners and Salesforce’s Salesforce Ventures unit.
Jerome Ternynck, founder and chief executive of SmartRecruiters, said: “We have seen enormous demand from companies that put people first and realise that to win in today’s economy, you must outhire your competition.
“To do that, they understand they need a modern, dedicated talent acquisition platform that actually works – one that hiring managers embrace, one that engages and delights candidates, and one that scales to meet the complex needs of very large organisations.”
