Japan-based media and communications conglomerate SoftBank Corporation has invested about $147.4m in US-based social gaming company Zynga.
Softbank will put Zynga’s games on its mobile phones and local language websites in the latest investment for the group in the social media sector.
Zynga has previously raised $240m from venture capital firms Digital Sky Technologies, Andreessen Horowitz, Tiger Global, Institutional Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Union Square Ventures, Foundry Group and Avalon Ventures, according to news provider PEHub.com.
