Japan-listed internet comglomerate SoftBank has reportedly invested $75m in India-based hotel unicorn Oyo to help it set up in Latin America.
SoftBank invested in the newly-formed Oyo Latam through its $5bn regional fund for the continent, according to newswire Reuters.
Oyo Latam is a joint venture between SoftBank and Oyo that operates more than 1,000 hotels primarily in Brazil and Mexico and has served over two million guests.
SoftBank has previously invested more than $1bn in Oyo, which is now focused more on China, India and Japan.
