Russia-based software licensing company Softline’s corporate venturing unit has invested $500,000 in Apps4all, a local online community for Russian mobile application developers.
Softline Venture Partners has a $20m fund that typically invests in the range of $100,000 to $1m.
Apps4all comes as the fund’s first investment in mobile.
Last year, Softline Venture Partners invested in social commerce app developer Magazinga (previously known as Emegamall), and Copiny, a developer of Saas-based customer relationship management tools. The fund’s portfolio also includes Tekmi, Mirapolis, ActiveCloud, Daripodarki, Client24 and cloud platform Nimble.
