SoloPower, a US-based manufacturer of flexible solar power cells, has raised $51.6m in its series D round.
According to a regulatory filing, 12 investors provided the money, with Greentech Capital Advisors Securities as broker.
The round follows a $19.9m payment to SoloPower’s former chief executive last year.
SoloPower’s shareholders include venture capital firms Crosslink Capital, Hudson Clean Energy Partners and SiVest Group and Convexa Capital, which includes corporate backers Spencer Energy, Norsk Hydro, Storebrand, DnB NOR, Gjensidige, Argentum (Norwegian Government), Norsk Hydro Pension Fund.
The company previously raised $88.2m since June 2006.
