Space Monkey, a US-based company offering a peer-to-peer cloud storage service, has raised $2.25m in its seed round from a consortium co-led by Google Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous US-listed search engine provider.
The other investors include venture capital firms Venture51, Polaris Venture Partners, Morado Ventures, Social + Capital Partnership, Zelkova Ventures Data Collective, B-Squared Ventures, TriplePoint and angel investors Sky Dayton, Benjamin Ling, Nicolas Berggruen, Jason Calacanis, Bill Lee, Steve Chen, Ben Narasin and Don Hutchison.
