AlienVault, a US-based provider of security information and event management software, has raised $4m in its series A funding after a provisional close at $3.5m in January.
Spain-based technology firm Teldat Group joined peer Neotec and Iberian venture capital firm Adara Venture Partners in the series A round.
Adara and Neotec had previously agreed to invest in AlienVault, which provides half of all event security software used round the world, last July.
Antonio García Marcos, president of Teldat, said: "AlienVault is a fantastic investment opportunity in a company with cutting edge technology in security at a worldwide level and a wonderful opportunity to share ideas for new products, improve processes and to advance the international presence of both organizations."
Julio Casal, founder of AlienVault, said: "Teldat is without a doubt the best partner we could have on board to achieve our goals for internationalization and growth over the next few years."
