US-based telecommunications company Sprint and accelerator Techstars revealed the 10 startups that will make up the second cohort of the Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator yesterday.
The programme runs for three months in Kansas City and will provide each participating business with $120,000 in seed funding. Most of the startups in this year’s group are US-based.
Alcohoot is a developer of personal breathalysers, HealthID Profile enables users to track and share information about their health using a wristband, and Hidrate has created a water bottle with a connected app that reminds a user to stay hydrated.
Jolt produces wearable head impact sensors for athletes, iDoc24 enables patients to obtain dermatological advice via a smartphone app, and Ovatemp helps women track their fertility windows.
