US-based music entertainment platform StarMaker Interactive has raised $4m in series A funding from Qualcomm Ventures, the investment arm of wireless technology producer Qualcomm, and venture capital firm iGlobe Partners.
Founded in 2010, StarMaker has developed is a music entertainment platform that has developed two apps, StarMaker and The Voice, which are available on the iOS and Android platforms.
StarMaker is a karaoke singing game with auto-tune capabilities while The Voice: On Stage is the official game and music video tool for TV talent show The Voice.
Starmaker previously received an undisclosed amount of funding from angel investment company XG Ventures in 2012.
The company intends to use the funds for further growth of its Android products, and for international expansion.
