Statespace, a US-based occupational training software developer backed by media company WndrCo, has received $15m in a series A round led by venture firm Khosla Ventures, TechCrunch has reported.
VC firm June Fund took part in the round alongside existing investors including startup studio Expa and VC firms FirstMark Capital and Lux Capital.
Founded in 2017, Statespace has developed artificial intelligence and cognitive science-driven software that enables users to practice skills relevant to specific occupations.
The company is also working on software geared toward digital therapeutics and general cognitive analytics. The funding will be used to expand its workforce.
FirstMark Capital led Statespace’s $2.5m seed round in August 2019, investing with WndrCo, Expa and Lux Capital, following $1.5m in earlier funding from investors including Joyance Partners and Social Starts, according to TechCrunch.
