Stradigi digs incubator out of stealth

Canada-based digital development company Stradigi publicly launched Stradigi Ventures, an incubator for early-stage media and technology startups, on Tuesday.

Stradigi is a digital development firm that provides custom software and digital services. Its business is mostly focused on musicians, brands and large-scale corporations.

Headquartered in Montreal, Stradigi Ventures will provide startups with mentoring, office space, research and development expertise, as well as access to Stradigi’s network.

The incubator will use Stradigi’s existing software development team and receive support from its parent company for digital marketing. Stradigi Ventures was launched in early 2014, but has so far operated in stealth mode.

Nevertheless, the unit has already invested in a number of startups, including Propulse Analytics, a machine learning-based e-commerce optimisation platform; AmpMe, a music streaming software service; and social networking platforms Qivo and Commentts.

Basil Bouraropoulos, co-founder of Stradigi Ventures, said: “We see ourselves as a growth catalyst for the next wave of disruptive startups, and we are excited to empower them with resources to help them reach the next level.”
