TalkIQ, the US-based developer of an analysis platform for voice conversation, has completed a $14m series A round featuring messaging service Line and enterprise software provider Salesforce.
Venture capital firm Scale Venture Partners led the round, which included Aspect Ventures, Danhua Capital and Felicis Ventures. Salesforce invested through its Salesforce Ventures subsidiary’s newly formed Salesforce AI Innovation Fund.
TalkIQ’s software uses enterprise speech recognition and natural language processing technology to help its corporate clients analyse voice conversations with their customers in order to glean valuable insights. The series A funds will support company growth.
The company launched in November 2016 with $7m of funding from Felicis Ventures, Atomic, SV Angel, Polaris Partners and Cherubic Ventures.
Dan O’Connell, chief executive of TalkIQ, said: “We know we have got something incredibly powerful that will benefit literally any business with clients or customers.
“This new funding – along with Scale’s expertise tackling enterprise market growth and Salesforce’s unmatched market leadership – will let us transform business intelligence with speech recognition and voice analytics.”
