Delta Electronics Capital, the corporate venturing unit for power supply equipment producer Delta Electronics, led a $12m series B round for TaskEasy, a US-based provider of on-demand exterior maintenance services, on Tuesday.
Lawn equipment manufacturer MTD Products, TaskEasy’s preferred equipment and service provider, also took part in the round, which included real estate-focused investment fund Moderne Ventures, Grotech Ventures, Access Venture Partners and Kickstart Fund.
TaskEasy runs a platform that homeowners can use to connect with contractors for lawn maintenance and snow removal services. It has so far been responsible for more than 400,000 tasks across more than 4,800 cities in the US since it was launched in 2013.
Ken Davis, chief executive of TaskEasy, said: “It has always been our mission to provide world class services directly to consumers and property portfolio managers while helping reliable contractors build sustainable businesses.
“With this funding we will be able to broaden our current offering and enhance the customer experience, while making our contractors more efficient and more profitable.”
The round follows a $7m series A round in late 2014 backed by Grotech, Access and KickStart Seed Fund. KickStart was also among the investors in TaskEasy’s $2.6m seed round in 2012.
