The Tata Opportunities Fund, a private equity fund run by Tata Capital, has achieved its second closing, having raised $550m. Tata Capital is a division of the India-based conglomerate the Tata Group.
The fund’s first closing came in April, with Tata Capital having $450m in place. Tata is yet to announce its partners in the fund, though news provider VCCircle reports that they include global marquee institutions from North America and Asia. The organisations will participate as limited partners and co-invest in the portfolio companies directly.
