Italy-based fitness equipment manufacturer Technogym launched an accelerator for health and wellness startups yesterday in partnership with Italy-based incubator H-Farm.
The four-month Wellness Accelerator Program will provide up to €80,000 ($92,500) each to five startups, comprising €55,000 in the form of acceleration services such as mentoring and partnerships, €10,000 in cash and €15,000 to cover room and board.
Wellness Holding, the angel investment fund owned by the Alessandri family, is also collaborating on the initiative.
The accelerator will accept applications until the end of February and will begin the programme on March 23rd. It will select five European startups developing projects in the wearable devices, platforms and tools, and big data and analytics subsectors.
