China-based domestic services provider eJiaJie, which counts internet company Tencent as a backer, has floated on China’s National Equities Exchange and Quotations (Neeq) market, China Money Network reported yesterday.
Founded in 2012, eJiaJie operates an app that customers can use to book basic home cleaning services, with more expensive options also available for complex tasks.
The company received $650,000 in seed funding from Tencent in 2013, and added a $4m series A round the following year backed by Tencent and online game publisher Shanda. It raised an undisclosed sum in a DT Capital-led round in February 2015.
Tencent’s Win-Win Fund was among the investors in a July 2015 series C round that included DT Capital, CDH Investments, DFJ and an unnamed China-based brokerage firm. Tencent remains eJiaJie’s largest institutional shareholder, and owns a 12.9% stake.
