China-based internet company Tencent has backed the seed round of US-based photo sharing application company Waddle, investing an undisclosed sum.
Waddle said in a statement yesterday: "We are excited to announce that we have closed our seed funding led by a partner who shares our commitment to building an important and lasting company – Tencent."
Waddle added: "We are thrilled to have Tencent as a partner and look forward to drawing on their experience and expertise as we continue to build Waddle into the product and company we know it can become."
Waddle said it would be using the investment to grow its team.
