China-based fresh produce online shop MissFresh has closed a RMB200m ($31m) series B round led by internet company Tencent, China Money Network reported today.
Venture capital firm Zheshang Venture Capital Management and undisclosed additional investors also participated in the round.
Founded in December 2014, MissFresh operates a mobile app that consumers can use to order fresh groceries. The company claims to fulfil approximately one million orders per month through the app.
The money will help MissFresh further develop its resources and logistics infrastructure. It had reportedly secured $10m in series A funding from Tencent and GX Capital prior to the latest round.
The company appears to be unrelated to Canada-based MissFresh, a subscription-based meal delivery service.
