Tezign taps corporates in series C2 round

China-based creative marketing services provider Tezign has raised an undisclosed amount in a series C2 round featuring telecommunications and internet conglomerate SoftBank and media group Hearst, DealStreetAsia has reported.

Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek led the round, which included Sequoia Capital China, Linear Capital, Eminence Capital, Cherubic Ventures, Unicorn Capital Partners and C Ventures.

Softbank and Hearst participated in the round through respective investment subsidiaries SoftBank China Venture Capital and Hearst Ventures. Although the size of the round was not disclosed, DealStreetAsia reported the total raised in that and Tezign’s August 2020 series C1 round was $100m.

Tezign provides creative marketing content and services for more than 8,000 medium and large-sized companies including consumer goods manufacturer Unilever, pharmaceutical and chemical producer Bayer and internet group Tencent.

The company collected an eight-figure dollar amount in the series C1 round, which was led by Sequoia Capital China with participation from Hearst Ventures and unnamed existing investors.

Hearst Ventures had previously led a series B round of undisclosed size for Tezign in 2018 that included Linear Capital, which had joined unnamed others to provide undisclosed amounts in a 2015 angel round and a series A round the following year.
