US-based computer network management company ThousandEyes raised $20m on Tuesday in a series B round that included Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of cloud computing software provider Salesforce.com.
Sutter Hill Ventures led the round, which also featured venture capital firm Sequoia Capital and a range of Silicon Valley angel investors.
ThousandEyes secured $5.5m in a June 2013 series A round that included Sequoia and a host of angel investors.
The company also raised $20m in May 2014 from undisclosed investors according to an SEC filing, though ThousandEyes has not revealed whether the round announced this week is the same as the May round.
ThousandEyes has developed software that lets network administrators troubleshoot their computer networks and gives them insight into internal and external traffic, including connections to the cloud.
The company will use the latest funding to accelerate its product development and support growth in North America and Europe. It will also launch a free version of its product.
