Australia-based digital payment technology provider Till Payments, which is backed by construction services firm Versatile Group, has secured A$110m ($81m) in series C funding.
Avenir Growth, Woodson Capital, Akuna Capital and Regal Funds Management took part in the round, which the company said boosted its investment pool to approximately $105m.
Founded in 2012 as SimplePay, Till provides a data-driven payment software platform for merchants operating in a variety of industries, including fast-moving consumer goods and the automotive, parking and transit, retail and hospitality sectors.
The company’s technology is currently used by hundreds of merchants across more than 500 cities in 12 countries. The funding will be used for product innovation and to strengthen its operational capabilities in North America and boost expansion in international markets, including the UK, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.
Till had previously raised $5m in series A round backed by Versatile Group and crypto-funded wealth manager Fluce Capital in March 2019.
