India-based mobile commerce platform JiffStore Software Labs has received an undisclosed amount from media company Times Internet and investment firm Unitus Seed Fund, VCCircle reported earlier today.
Founded in June 2013, JiffStore operates a website and smartphone app that enables users to buy groceries at corner shops and have them delivered. The company will use the fresh funding to hire more staff, increase the number of stores on its platform and support marketing efforts.
JiffStore’s platform currently covers Bengaluru, and the company will use part of the funding to support an expansion into Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
In May 2014, Unitus Seed Fund invested an undisclosed sum in the company.
