Titan Investment Group, a group of financial and business companies teaming up to diversify their investments and for further profitable placement on the Forex market, has participated in a $1m first round of funding for social business startup WyseTalk.
WyseTalk, launched in 2011 and a spin-out of software development company Alacrity Technologies, will now have a shift in its shareholding. Alacrity has reduced involvement in its social media venture in order to focus on its retail business and financial services
Sean Emery, chief investment officer at Titan, said : “South Africa is a hotbed of innovation, especially for technology companies. WyseTalk is another great example of such ingenuity. We are encouraged by the global trend towards social business, and we believe WyseTalk is optimally positioned and developed to be a game-changer for African companies, for a start.”
