TitletownTech, the corporate venturing unit co-founded by software provider Microsoft and American football franchise Green Bay Packers, is raising a second fund, according to a regulatory filing.
The filing does not state if any limited partners have come on board yet, but it shows a target of $80m for the vehicle.
The unit typically invests in pre-revenue to series A companies across areas such as sports, media and entertainment, agriculture, water and the environment, digital health, supply chain technology and advanced manufacturing. Its usual ticket size is between $200,000 and $2m with a focus on the US state of Wisconsin, though it has a wider reach in the US and Canada.
To date, TitletownTech’s portfolio includes companies such as sports training technology provider StatusPro, synthetic dataset provider Synthetaic, food allergen sensor developer Allergy Amulet, virtual reality language immersion technology provider VRnacular and Aramid Technologies, a provider of certification management software for supply chains.
TitletownTech’s first fund closed in 2019, with Microsoft and the Green Bay Packers each committing $5m of a total $25m alongside 14 other limited partners, including corporates such as dairy producers Schreiber and Sartori, industrial sheet manufacturer AmeriLux International, pulp and paper producer Green Bay Packaging, product development services firm Plexus, personal care product manufacturer The Village Companies and logistics firm Schneider.
