Toyota AI Ventures (TAIV), a US-based corporate venture capital vehicle owned by Japan-headquartered carmaker Toyota, has hired Erin Keller as an associate.
Keller had spent two years from April 2017 at Yamaha Motor Ventures & Laboratory Silicon Valley (YMVSV), a corporate venture capital subsidiary of electronics and automotive manufacturer Yamaha.
YMVSV hired Keller as an associate before she was promoted to senior associate in December 2018, featuring in Global Corporate Venturing’s Rising Stars roster the following month.
TAIV launched a $100m second fund last month that will focus on fields such as artificial intelligence technology for use in transport and autonomous mobility.
Regarding her ambitions, Keller previously told GCV while working at Yamaha: “I would like to increase my responsibilities over time and take on more to help drive investment strategies with the ability to ask the right questions.
“As part of the ecosystem, and regardless of investment decisions or position in a firm, I believe it is our responsibility to truly help startups move forward.”
