US-based travel itinerary platform developer Traxo closed a $5.2m series B round on Tuesday led by travel information provider TripAdvisor.
The round included Thayer Ventures, the venture capital fund formed by hotel investment group Thayer Lodging and VC firm Quest Hospitality Ventures, as well as Advantage Capital Partners, Silver Creek Ventures and Aristos Ventures.
Traxo has created a mobile application that allows travelers to manage their itineraries, sync reservations to their calendars and track loyalty points. The company also provides its itinerary data aggregation services to travel agencies, airlines and other corporates.
The round will support Traxo’s current technology initiatives and enable it to expand its sales and marketing efforts. In conjunction with TripAdvisor’s investment, Adam Medros, its senior vice-president of global products, will join Traxo’s board of directors.
Traxo previously raised $4.2m in a series A round in 2013 from investors including Thayer Ventures, Advantage Capital and Silver Creek.
