True Ventures, the venture firm of Google chairman Eric Schmidt, has reportedly helped jokes website 9Gag, raise $2.8m.
The round to back 9Gag was also backed on April 9 by venture firms First Round Capital, Greycroft, Freeestyle, and Dave McClure, the founder of 500 Startups, according to news provider Startup Grind.
