China-based educational app developer Changingedu has raised $100m in a round led by educational services provider TAL Education Group, Asian Venture Capital Journal has reported.
The round also included IDG Capital Partners, the China-based venture capital affiliate of media and data company International Data Group, venture capital firm Sequoia Capital and TBP Capital, the VC firm otherwise known as TrustBridge Partners.
Changingedu is the creator of an app-based service that works similarly to Uber or Airbnb, linking students, parents and teachers in order to help set up extracurricular tutoring services.
The company has not disclosed information on any previous funding rounds.
