UBGenius, a China-based online teaching platform developer affiliated to robotics technology producer UBTech Robotics, has received more than RMB100m ($14.3m) in series B round funding.
The round was led by venture capital firm Qiming Venture Partners and included VC firm Vstar Capital and an unnamed China-based investment firm.
Founded in early 2017, UBGenius provides Chinese schools with artificial intelligence-driven education software catered to teenagers, incorporating features such as online classes, experiments and teacher training.
The startup will use the series B funding to accelerate market expansion by developing its core technology and extending partnerships with selected Chinese schools.
UBGenius had reportedly raised undisclosed amounts in a series A round featuring UBTech Robotics, and in an angel round backed by online education provider Mooc-CN Education.
