UK-based software debugging platform developer Undo raised $14m yesterday in a series B round backed by Martlet, the corporate venturing subsidiary of aerospace manufacturer Marshall of Cambridge.
The round was led by Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC), the University of Cambridge’s patient capital affiliate, and included property asset manager Rockspring, Parkwalk Advisors, Global Brain, Cambridge Angels and private investors Peter Michael and Jaan Tallinn.
Founded in 2005, Undo has developed a software debugging platform that helps developers working with the Linux and Android operating systems to identify critical errors and bugs before shipping their products.
The system is currently compatible with the C and C++ coding languages, but Undo will use the series B capital to build out its software development team and add support for programming languages such as Java and Python in addition to entering the US market.
CIC joined Cambridge Angels in a $2m round for Undo in 2015 before leading its $3.3m series A round in 2016, investing together with Martlet, Rockspring, Cambridge Angels, Michael and Tallinn.
Undo had previously received $1.3m from backers including Cambridge Angels and Tallinn in 2014, two years after securing an undisclosed amount in a round that included Cambridge Angels.
