Unify Square shapes $10m series C

Unify Square, a US-based communications software developer backed by software provider Microsoft, has raised about $10m in a series C round led by investment holding company PrimePulse.

Unify Square provides unified communications software and cloud services for enterprise collaboration platforms Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business. It will invest the series C proceeds in marketing and product development.

The company said the series C round boosted its overall funding to almost $45m. It closed its last round, a series B featuring Microsoft, Bridge Bank, Stanford University and individuals including Unify Square chairman Geoff Baldwin, at $12.2m in 2015.

PrimePulse chairman Klaus Weinmann said: “As unified communications technology continues to become more integral to global business, Unify Square has a clear vision for expanding its services to a broader audience.

“We are looking forward to helping them execute against that vision and acquire the next wave of customers looking to fully optimise their Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business strategies.”
