Veebeam lights up $6m tranche

Veebeam, a UK-based computer-to-television software company, has closed the first tranche of a two tranche series B round at $6m from a consortium including Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of semiconductor company Intel.

Venture capital firm Amadeus Capital Partners led the round, alongside participation from peers Oak Investment Partners, Bay Partners, Formative Ventures, Khosla Ventures and Vision Capital.

Veebeam was formed in 2008 by the merger of Staccato Communications and Artimi.

Andrew Vought, chief executive of Veebeam, said: "Veebeam operates in stealth mode to wirelessly stream anything from your laptop to your TV."
