Verizon’s corporate venturing unit has led US-based social networking company Rounds’s latest $3m fundraising.
The US-based communications company was joined by Rhodium and Draper Fisher Jurvetson backing the company today.
The company was founded in 2008 and it has raised $5.5m in its history.
The funding would be used to extend Rounds beyond its present Facebook-based application to other social networks and mobile devices.
Rounds allows users to meet friends on-line sharing activities such as video chats, real-time games, and listening to music. It has more than 3 million users and there are more than 650,000 daily sessions using the company’s platform.
