US-based video creation platform VidMob has grown its series A round to $13.9m by raising $6.4m from investors including brand technology provider You & Mr Jones.
Manifest Growth, the venture capital fund managed by growth equity firm Manifest Investment Partners, co-led the round with VC firm Interlock Partners and investment partnerships Acadia Woods and Macanta Investments.
Stampede Ventures contributed to the round’s $7.5m first tranche in November 2017, which featured Manifest Growth, Interlock, Acadia Woods and Macanta as well as unnamed existing backers.
Founded in 2014, VidMob has created an online video creation platform that enables brands and advertisers to collaborate with creatives on video material for distribution on social media channels such as Twitter or Snapchat.
The additional capital will fund recruitment in data and engineering as VidMob prepares to expand internationally by opening an office in London. The company has now raised a total of $20m, it said.
VidMob received $2m in a 2015 seed round featuring advertising agency Mother New York’s corporate venturing arm, Mother Ventures, as well as Acadia Woods, Foundation Capital and assorted media executives.
