VidMob attracts $25m in series B round

VidMob, the US-based developer of a video advertising creation platform, has closed a $25m series B round that included brand technology provider You & Mr Jones.

The round was led by investment firm BuildGroup and also featured investment partnerships Acadia Woods and Macanta Investments, as well as venture capital firm Interlock Partners, boutique investment bank Herington and the limited partners of fund manager Manifest Investment Partners.

Founded in 2014, VidMob is beta testing an online video creation platform that allows clients to access its network of creative producers to design advertising content for online distribution channels such as social media.

VidMob’s Agile Creative Studio includes analytics functions which evaluate user response to specific advertising in order to get feedback on the performance of a client’s marketing campaign. The series B capital will sustain continued development of VidMob’s technology, with the objective of enhancing the effectiveness of its video ads.

The company said it has now raised more than $45m altogether. It secured $13.9m in a two-tranche series A round that included an initial $7.5m from content production firm Stampede Ventures, Manifest Investment Partners, Interlock Partners, Acadia Woods, Macanta and undisclosed existing investors in November 2017.

You & Mr Jones featured in the $6.4m second series A close in May 2018. That tranche was co-led by Manifest Growth and Interlock Partners and also featured Acadia Woods and Macanta Investments.

VidMob had already received $2m in a 2015 seed round backed by advertising agency Mother New York’s corporate venturing arm, Mother Ventures, as well as Acadia Woods, Foundation Capital and assorted media executives.
