US-based visual communications platform Vidyo raised $20m on Friday from investors including Junos Innovation Fund, the corporate venturing arm of networking equipment manufacturer Juniper Networks.
Existing investors venture capital firms Menlo Ventures, Rho Ventures, Sevin Rosen Funds, Saints Capital, Four Rivers Group, ORR Ventures, Triangle Peak Partners and QuestMark Partners were also involved.
Vidyo manufactures and powers video conferencing technology for companies such as Google which enables multi-party conference calls. It will use the new funding for sales and market development in order to broaden the adoption of its video chat technology VidyoWorks platform.
The round brings the total raised by Vidyo to $139m. Junos first invested in the company in its $22.5m D round in 2012, and subsequently participated in a $17m series E round in 2013.
