Andrew Lee has left the strategic investments division at US-based technology company VMWare to join venture capital firm Battery Ventures as a principal.
He said he would help lead the firm’s efforts in enterprise software and infrastructure from Battery’s Menlo Park office. During his four years at VMWare he said he led six acquisitions, including SpringSource; three early-stage investments with two board observer seats; and a $20m investment in US-listed Terremark.
