UK-listed phone operator Vodafone Group has increased its shareholding in Invitation Digital, a local provider of Vouchercloud consumer discount coupons, to 57%.
Vodafone bought a 21% stake in Invitation Digital in May last year and also has the first option to increase its direct shareholding in the future.
Vodafone said it would help extend Vouchercloud beyond the UK and Ireland.
Tobin Ireland, commercial development director at Vodafone, said: “Mobile couponing is set to grow rapidly across Vodafone’s businesses as cost-conscious consumers increasingly turn to their smartphones to hunt for bargains and collect loyalty points.”
