Vodafone Ventures, the corporate venturing division of UK-listed mobile phone operator Vodafone, has made a strategic minority investment in Israel-based Perfecto Mobile.
Perfecto, which was formerly known as Nexperience, previously raised $7m in a second round from Israel-based venture capital firms Carmel Ventures and Vertex Venture Capital.
Vodafone’s investment will help the company develop its Perfecto Mobile Handset Cloud mobile application testing software that provides remote access to real mobile devices.
Perfecto’s cloud service is deployed in Europe and North America and will soon be expanding to Asia, Africa and Latin America. Vodafone already uses Perfecto to develop its private Vodafone Handset Cloud, as well as Swisscom and Motorola.
Eran Yaniv, chief executive of Perfecto, said: "This investment will enable us to scale our cloud to more handsets, more geographies, and more networks."
