Andreas von Richter has joined LBBW Ventures, part of Germany-based bank LBBW Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, as a partner in his fifth venture role over the past decade.
Von Richter had previously been partner of Aster Capital, a multi-corporate fund financed by Schneider, Solvay and Alstom among others, managing partner of EcoMobility Ventures, a €40m ($48m) multi-corporate fund backed by SNCF, Total, Orange, Air Liquide and Michelin and managed by Idinvest, been an investment manager at Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, and vice-president of GE Capital.
At GE Capital from December 2007 until June 2013, von Richter had led the investments into five companies of which two exited in flotations, Solaredge and Emefcy.
At LBBW Ventures, he joins Harald Poth and Christoph Sagemann under managing director Oliver Konanz following the departure of Michael Flach to Dquadrat Equity Partners this year.
Von Richter said: “Oliver and myself are heading the fund. Focus is on enabling tech, industrial tech incl. mobility and energy, fintech as well as life sciences.”
