VSee gains Salesforce backing

VSee, a video collaboration service provider, has received a capital injection from software provider Salesforce, according to news provider TechCrunch.

VSee was founded in 2008 following chief executive Milton Chen’s human-computer interaction PhD research at Stanford University. Aside from Salesforce, In-Q-Tel, the quasi-corporate venturing unit of the US intelligence community, has invested in the business, according to TechCrunch.

The company says it already provides services to more than 6,000 enterprises worldwide, including Shell, Intel, Primerica, US Navy Seals and the US National Science Foundation.
