Israel-headquartered cybersecurity software provider Vulcan Cyber raised $21m in series B funding yesterday from investors including IT services firm Wipro’s corporate venturing vehicle, Wipro Ventures.
Venture capital firm Dawn Capital led the round, which was also backed by YL Ventures and Ten Eleven Ventures – both existing investors. YL Ventures led the company’s $4m seed round in 2018 and returned for its $10m series A round alongside Ten Eleven Ventures in June 2019.
Vulcan Cyber has built a software platform that orchestrates the cybersecurity remediation process to help users prioritise security vulnerabilities and automate fixes. The cash will support the launch of a free vulnerability management tool called Vulcan Free.
Yaniv Bar-Dayan, co-founder and chief executive of Vulcan Cyber, said: “Remediation orchestration is the only viable way to deliberately align vulnerability management with the needs of digital business and cloud and application environments.
“This round of funding allows us to make these critical security tools available to more organisations free of cost, so they can get fix done.”
