The corporate venturing units of AOL and Google helped Vungle, a US-based video promotion company for appmakers, raise $2m in its seed round.
AOL Ventures and Google Ventures were joined by venture firms Crosslink Capital, SoftTech VC, SV Angel and 500 Startups as well as angel investors Maynard Webb, Scott McNealy and Tim Draper.
The company plans to use the funds for expanding its hiring and building out the product platform.
The company is one of 15 graduates from AngelPad. Other AngelPad graduates to win backing from Google Ventures and AOL Ventures include online shopping analysis company Shopobot and mobile application problem solver Crittercism.
Other AngelPad graduates, such as social to do list Astrid and social learning company Stickery have received backing from Google Ventures.
